2025-2026 A Passing the Torch to IYC
The summer of 2025 was both busy and enriching for IYC. The 2025 USA Service Trip brought together 21 youth participants from the United States and Taiwan for a week of community service, cultural exchange, outdoor exploration, and educational experiences. Through hands-on volunteer projects, environmental conservation activities, and visits to historical and cultural landmarks, participants strengthened their leadership skills, formed lasting international friendships, and broadened their global perspectives.
IYC volunteers also took part in the Ladakh Service Trip: iCare Vision Protection Initiative, promoting eye health through vision screenings, UV-protection education, and community outreach in remote Himalayan communities. This meaningful experience deepened participants’ understanding of international service and local needs.
The 2025–2026 year marked a historic transition for IMPACT and IMPACT Youth Club (IYC). As IMPACT completed its original mission, its spirit, values, and commitment to music, leadership, and community service were officially passed on to IYC. Guided by the next generation of student leaders, IYC now carries this legacy forward, inspiring young people to serve with compassion, lead with purpose, and make a meaningful impact in their communities.
This milestone was made possible through the unwavering support of countless parents, volunteers, educators, and community partners who became "points of light," encouraging and empowering our youth every step of the way. Their dedication has shaped generations of young leaders and laid the foundation for IYC's future.
As one chapter comes to a close, another begins. With gratitude for the past and confidence in the future, IYC is poised to continue growing, serving, and inspiring communities for many years to come.
2025 USA Service Trip
The 2025 USA Service Trip brought together youth participants from the United States and Taiwan for a week of community service, cultural exchange, outdoor exploration, and leadership development in New Jersey. Through hands-on volunteer projects, environmental stewardship activities, and educational visits to historical and cultural landmarks, participants worked side by side while building friendships across cultures and strengthening their commitment to serving others.
This trip provided opportunities for personal growth, teamwork, and meaningful reflection. The experience concluded with a youth symposium where participants shared what they had learned through service, discussed their cross-cultural experiences, and reflected on how compassion, collaboration, and global citizenship can create lasting positive change.
Ladakh Eye Care Service Expedition
In 2025 summer, in collaboration with York Fine Arts, this international service expedition to Ladakh, India, combined humanitarian outreach with cultural immersion, giving IYC volunteers the opportunity to serve remote Himalayan communities. We conducted vision screenings, distributed sunglasses and eye medications, and promoted eye health education at schools, monasteries, hospitals, and local villages, improving access to essential eye care in underserved areas.
Beyond volunteer service, participants explored Ladakh's rich culture, breathtaking landscapes, and centuries-old traditions while developing a deeper appreciation for compassion, service, and global citizenship.
"Rosemead" Private Screening
On January 24, 2026, Impact Youth Club (IYC) hosted a special private screening of Rosemead, a film produced by and starring Lucy Liu, at AMC Theatres in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The event welcomed more than 100 attendees, bringing together youth, parents, and community members for an evening of film and meaningful dialogue.
Following the screening, audience members participated in an engaging discussion, sharing thoughtful perspectives as Asian mothers, teenagers, and community members. The conversation explored the film's themes while encouraging empathy, cross-generational understanding, and open communication.

2026 IMPACT & IYC Celebration
On June 7, the IMPACT family recently gathered at the Bridgewater Manor in New Jersey for our 2026 IMPACT & IYC Celebration. Over a hundred music teachers, parents, current leaders, and alumni joined us to celebrate our 15 years of music and service, youth volunteers, and honor our graduates.
Many of our alumni "return to the nest" to inspire the younger generation. They shared how IYC provided them with essential leadership and communication skills, the confidence to step out of their comfort zones, and lifelong friendships with like-minded peers.
