2012-2013 IMPACT Taiwan Cultural & Music Tour
In 2012, IMPACT embarked on its first international concert tour, bringing 30 talented students and teachers to Taipei, Taiwan. Together with local students and musicians, they performed in a series of concerts that celebrated cultural exchange, artistic collaboration, and international friendship. Through rehearsing, performing, and interacting with their Taiwanese counterparts, participants experienced firsthand how music transcends language and cultural differences, creating meaningful connections through a shared passion for the arts.
As Ms. Wu witnessed the transformative power of music in the lives of young people, her vision expanded beyond the concert stage. In 2013, she founded Impact Youth Club (IYC) to empower youth to become compassionate leaders through volunteer service, community engagement, and meaningful projects. Today, IYC continues to carry forward her vision, inspiring the next generation to lead with compassion, serve with purpose, and create meaningful impact in their communities.
Beyond the concert stage, the tour provided valuable opportunities for students to immerse themselves in a different culture, build lasting friendships, and gain a broader understanding of the world. The experience encouraged confidence, teamwork, and personal growth while inspiring young musicians to embrace diversity and appreciate the universal language of music. This unforgettable journey not only enriched their musical education but also reinforced IMPACT's mission of using music to unite communities, foster global citizenship, and inspire the next generation of compassionate leaders.
