2016-2017 Expanding Our Roots in Central New Jersey
During 2016–2017, IMPACT Youth Club (IYC) experienced a period of steady growth as we expanded our presence throughout Central New Jersey. Membership increased to more than 30 youth volunteers, ages 5 to 18, united by a shared passion for community service, leadership, and making a positive difference. Throughout the year, members participated in a wide range of volunteer projects, community outreach programs, and musical performances that strengthened their commitment to serving others.
As IYC continued to expand, many of our dedicated volunteers were honored with the President's Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) in recognition of their outstanding commitment to volunteerism and civic engagement. These achievements reflected not only the countless hours our members devoted to serving their communities but also IYC's mission of developing compassionate, responsible, and service-minded young leaders.
By the end of 2017, IYC had established a strong foundation for the future. With a growing membership, dedicated volunteers, and increasing community partnerships, the organization was well-positioned to broaden its impact, launch new initiatives, and inspire even more young people to lead with compassion, serve with purpose, and make a lasting difference.
Senior Center Concerts
During this period, Impact Youth Club (IYC) established a meaningful tradition of serving the community through regular Senior Center Concerts. Youth volunteers brought music, companionship, and hands-on craft activities to six local senior living communities, creating memorable experiences for residents. Seasonal performances celebrating major holidays and the Lunar New Year became especially cherished events, strengthening connections across generations through music, creativity, and service.
