ONGOING PROJECTS
Presidio Habitat Stewards (PHS)
Presidio Habitat Stewards (PHS) helps to revitalize damaged ecosystems and preserve the natural areas of the Presidio. Our volunteer work with PHS includes weekly weeding, mulching, cleaning trail heads, and planting native species.
Tat Wong Kung Fu Academy Teaching Assistant
As a black belt in Kung Fu, I do weekly volunteer work with Tat Wong Academy as a teaching assistant where I help teach young kids in our community to learn self defense and martial arts skills in their classes.
Origidgets for UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital
These donation kits are called Origidget (Origami + Fidget), handmade fidget toys made of paper origami and are a great way for young patients at the hospital to relieve anxiety and stress. Each ready-made Origidget kit comes with detailed instructions on how to play with them.
Curry Senior Center - Weekend Bingo
Due to budget constraints and food services being cut, this fall we turned to hosting Saturday bingo games at the Curry Senior center to bring fun and connection to the seniors. We bring baked goods and cards for the seniors to make them feel cared for by the community.
PAST PROJECTS
OnLok Senior Computer Center and Food Services
We support seniors at the OnLok Senior center through offering tech support at the computer center and helping out with food services on Saturdays.
OnLok Senior Center Seasonal Greeting Cards
This project creates custom made holiday greeting and birthday cards with handwritten personal messages for seniors at the OnLok Senior Center. The past prototypes had thematic hand colored line drawings and in the recent series, I experimented using origami paper to create unique cards.
A Year of Heartfelt Words: 52 Weekly Letters
We hope to alleviate social isolation among seniors through sending handwritten letters to offer words of comfort and care for seniors. In the process, we collected and documented 52 weekly letters compiled into a publication to be given to select senior centers here in San Francisco. (April 2025)
