![]() IYC Virtual Dragon Boat RaceJoin the IYC 22-23 Virtual Dragon Boat Race to give back to the community in a fun, friendly team volunteering competition. We have 7 teams led by 7 VPs. Participants will "race" by completing and logging volunteer hours as a team boat. The winning team will be the boat that tallied the largest number of volunteer hours. | ![]() | ![]() |

![]() | ![]() | ![]() IYC 2022 Giving GardensGiving Gardens is a weekly project where volunteers go to the local Wagner Farm to maintain several of our own gardening beds. We seed, plant, weed, and harvest a variety of vegetables like carrots, purple radishes, tomatoes, peppers, and bok choy. After harvesting we donate all the grown food to local food charities and banks. |
![]() Tabby's HelperTabby's Place is a cat sanctuary while 12+ volunteers will work on other assignments like laundry, feeding, cat socialization, and cleaning. | ![]() Book DriveWe are working to collect books to under-served children throughout New Jersey in order to support the development of literacy skills and encourage a love of reading. Just a few books donated goes a long way! | ![]() Healing Our EcosystemsIYC is taking leaps and bounds towards a cleaner Earth with THREE upcoming environmental cleanup events! For decades, trash of all kinds has polluted our beautiful yet fragile environment. Perhaps we won't be able to regrow trees with the snap of fingers or cleanse the seas with one swoop of a net, but with our efforts, no matter how small, we will be able to effectively combat nature's crisis. It is, after all, the little raindrops that create the flood. |
![]() Back-To-School DriveIYC's very first Back-to-School Drive is upcoming! IYC is partnering up with JFS Middlesex to help sort/pack school supplies for students in need! | ![]() Open Space ProtectionGive back to your environment by cleaning up trails, planting native species. Help take care of Princeton's open spaces in preserving nature in our community and taking care of natural resources. | ![]() Citizen ScienceCitizen Science, is an online platform where volunteers can collaborate with scientists in different projects. Volunteers can contribute by collecting data through taking photos of clouds or streams, documenting changes in nature, using smartphone sensors to help scientists monitor water and air quality, or playing games to help advance health and medical research. |
![]() IYCarpoolWhen IYC hosts its events, we want as many volunteers as possible to be there.Unfortunately, many cannot experience these inspirational moments because they simply have no method of transportation at the time of the event(s). IYCarpool aims to volunteers to create a carpool to share the rides! | ![]() Worry WormsStay tuned! The popular worry worms project is coming back this year! | ![]() Games Galore at Care OneIYC volunteers visited the Care One senior assistant living center at Hanover. We worked with the Jersey Care volunteers and Care One staff to take care of senior residents. We played bingo with the residents, engaged and conversed with guests, distributed snacks, and assisted in the transportation of residents to and from their rooms. |
![]() Chelsea Senior Center ConcertChelsea at Bridgewater Senior Assisted Living Center is one of the seven senior living centers throughout New Jersey that IYC has established a long-term friendship and partnership with for many years. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, they have been through countless lock-down, so we weren't able to visit them physically. We have tried our best to connect with them by sending handmade cards for holidays, donating energy-saving light bulbs, and providing monthly virtual concerts. | ![]() Chelsea Senior Center ConcertChelsea at Bridgewater Senior Assisted Living Center is one of the seven senior living centers throughout New Jersey that IYC has established a long-term friendship and partnership with for many years. After two years of COVID separation, they recently restarted activities with mask requirements and other precautions, and they asked us to come back to give an in-person concert! |
