Impact Community
The IMPACT Community program welcomes parents, supporters, local businesses, and community partners to become part of IYC's mission. Together, we build stronger communities through collaboration, volunteerism, and shared purpose.
Community Activities
Families and community members are invited to participate in social gatherings, educational workshops, service projects, cultural celebrations, and networking events throughout the year. These activities strengthen relationships across generations while creating a vibrant and supportive community.
Fundraising Events & Member Benefits
Fundraising events help sustain IYC's programs and expand opportunities for future generations of youth leaders. At the same time, community partners and participating members may enjoy special benefits such as networking opportunities, educational resources, exclusive events, volunteer recognition, and discounts offered through participating sponsors. Every contribution helps ensure that IYC continues to grow and serve the community for years to come.
Community Collaboration
Marrakech to the Sahara
In Spring 2027, IMPACT Community will collaborate with York Fine Arts to offer families and students a meaningful cultural and service journey through Morocco. More than a traditional sightseeing tour, this experience will combine cultural immersion, community engagement, art, education, and adventure, allowing participants to experience Morocco while contributing to the communities that welcome them.
York Fine Arts has organized cultural-exchange and impact trips since 2023, connecting students and families with people and communities around the world. Participants will explore Morocco’s rich artistic traditions, historic architecture, colorful markets, diverse landscapes, and local ways of life while learning to approach travel with curiosity and respect.
Venezuela Earthquake Relief Donations
In response to the devastating earthquake in Venezuela, IYC partnered with Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) to organize an emergency supply drive for affected families and communities. The project focused on collecting essential items such as diapers, baby formula, hygiene products, flashlights, first-aid supplies, blankets, towels, nonperishable food, and disinfecting products.
Through this relief effort, members demonstrated compassion, teamwork, and global responsibility. By responding quickly to an international crisis, the project showed how local communities can come together to provide practical support and hope to people facing sudden hardship.
"Rosemead" Private Screening
Ladakh Eye Care Service Expedition
In 2025 summer, in collaboration with York Fine Arts, this international service expedition to Ladakh, India, combined humanitarian outreach with cultural immersion, giving IYC volunteers the opportunity to serve remote Himalayan communities. We conducted vision screenings, distributed sunglasses and eye medications, and promoted eye health education at schools, monasteries, hospitals, and local villages, improving access to essential eye care in underserved areas.
Beyond volunteer service, participants explored Ladakh's rich culture, breathtaking landscapes, and centuries-old traditions while developing a deeper appreciation for compassion, service, and global citizenship.
