Tat Wong Kung Fu Academy Teaching Assistant
As a black belt in Kung Fu, I do weekly volunteer work with Tat Wong Academy as a teaching assistant where I help teach young kids in our community to learn self defense and martial arts skills in their classes.
OnLok Senior Center Seasonal Greeting Cards
This project creates custom made holiday greeting and birthday cards for seniors at the OnLok Senior Center. The past prototypes had thematic hand colored line drawings and in the recent series, I experimented using origami paper to create unique cards. All cards have hand written personal messages.
We hope to alleviate social isolation among seniors through sending handwritten letters to offer words of comfort and care for seniors. In the process, we collected and documented 52 weekly letters compiled into a publication to be given to select senior centers here in San Francisco.
